HDpiano, the world’s leading “piano lessons on demand” platform, partnered with Be AI Powered to solve a major challenge: growing student demand for real-time coaching alongside a rising volume of repetitive support tickets.

Together, we designed and deployed Haidi—an AI-powered learning coach built on Voiceflow. Haidi now answers practice questions, recommends songs, coaches finger placement, and even chats about music with students. The result: a more engaging learning experience, a differentiated product, and over 15 hours of support time saved every week.

The impact

The problem

HDpiano had a clear vision: provide the best online piano education. But as their student base scaled, they hit recurring obstacles:

  • Repetitive support questions like “What song should I try next?” or “How do I fix my finger placement here?”
  • No real-time help during practice, leaving learners stuck mid-lesson
  • Static support tools (FAQs and email forms) that slowed response times and frustrated students
  • A growing support burden that pulled staff away from strategic work

Their ideal solution? A coach that could scale infinitely, provide practical guidance in real time, and hand off seamlessly to human support when needed.

The solution

HDpiano partnered with Be AI Powered, and our team used Voiceflow to design and implement Haidi. Three things set the project apart:

1. A database-driven music coach

We trained Haidi on HDpiano’s lesson metadata, practice tips, and catalog. This allowed students to:

  • Search the database to discover new songs by artist, difficulty, or style
  • Get personalized recommendations based on their learning path
  • Receive playing tips on finger placement, hand coordination, and practice strategies
  • Talk about music conversationally, staying inspired between lessons

2. Seamless HelpScout escalation

Haidi automatically creates a HelpScout ticket whenever an issue goes beyond its scope. The entire conversation transcript is passed through, so students never need to repeat themselves, and the support team can respond faster with context.

3. Always-on engagement

Haidi is embedded directly into HDpiano’s platform. Students can open it mid-lesson to get coaching, practice tips, or motivation. Instead of leaving the site to search for help, answers are one click away.

The result

The collaboration paid off:
