We set out to build a scalable, intelligent system that could automate user engagement, personalize recommendations, and hand over hot leads to the sales team in real-time. The solution was delivered in two key phases:

1. Re-engaging 3,000 Users via WhatsApp

We deployed an AI-powered chatbot on WhatsApp to instantly message around 3,000 existing contacts.
The bot was trained to:

  • Send promotional flyers and personalized travel offers
  • Respond in real-time to user inquiries
  • Manage user preferences, including opt-outs and human handoff

2. Personalized Recommendations Powered by LLMs

In Phase 2, we upgraded the chatbot with large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT to deliver richer, more human-like conversations.
The chatbot now provides:

  • Destination suggestions tailored to user preferences (country, budget, family needs, season)
  • Smart package recommendations based on user interests (beach, mountain, city breaks)
  • Real-time data collection and lead routing to the agency team via email and Google Sheets

The Result

The agency saw a sharp boost in performance within weeks:

  • 4% conversion rate: over 100 users became qualified leads and booked travel packages
  • 12% engagement: over 350 users initiated conversations with the chatbot
